Meet
Kirby, he was a regular male cockatiel that was found not far
from a rescue volunteer's home. He was pretty aggressive and broke skin and left you
bleeding. The family that found him did not really know about birds and
did not want to keep a bird they could not handle. They called Parrot
Rescue and a volunteer
went and picked him up. We could not find his owner so we began to work
with him and after a couple of months he was stepping up and giving beak
to mouth kisses while making kissing noises. He was eventually named
Kirby and he loved
to whistle and imitate two different car alarms. Unfortunately, Kirby
lived only 11 months after he was found but we knew he was
happy during this time.
