Meet Misha, a Senegal parrot was found by a woman who tried to find the owner with no luck.  After a month or so she called Rescue and a volunteer went and picked up the bird.  This Senegal was not at all friendly - a bit skittish, but a couple that had lost their Senegal parrot around the same time agreed to foster him.  They named him Bandit.  Unfortunately, after months of trying to work with him they decided to give him up.  They really loved him but he was so difficult at times - Bandit just wasn’t for them.

Volunteers are currently working with him.  He is very smart, a great escape artist (he can unscrew and remove the quick links from the feeder doors to prevent him from opening them and so a chain was strung tightly across the cage between the feeder doors so he cannot get them off.  Once out of his cage he can do step-ups and he loves his beak rubbed, however, everyday his rehab has to be started all over again.  He has been found a new home and has been renamed Misha.  His new owner is a young man who can now kiss him and handles him well.  Misha found a great home with a new owner he loves.
